Viol 125134 Bans Removed (CoDWaW)

We have lifted the Violation GAMEHOOK #125134 Bans for the last month in CoDWaW. This violation has not been deemed a false positive by EvenBalance as of yet however with the growing number of users getting this violation and one being triggered by a tweak app , we have decided to lift the bans back to Dec 2009. Also this violation is on the Hubs exempt list for the time being.

We feel it's better to let a few possible cheaters go free than to keep an innocent player banned. Cheaters will get caught again.

46 Call of Duty World at War Bans have been removed from the MBi and unban commands sent out for hub streaming servers on Jan 6, 2010.

UPDATE:

EvenBalance has confirmed to us that #125134 is caused by a few various applications and now will trigger a restriction. They advised to lift all #125134 bans for the past month, which we already did :)

Certainly a lot of people will appreciate this.

Honest players who got unbanned what should they do now, how can they avoid this happening again?

My suspect programs list:

Steam

Logitec

Realtek

Xfire

TS 2/3

mumble

Alt Tab (while in game)

TweakMASTER (confirmed trigger)

I have gone into my msconfig (with help from my friends... don't do this if you don't know what you're disabling) and disabled ALL of the unnecessary running processes (excluding TS). I'm hoping this will prevent it from happening again but at this point, it's roll of the dice.

Remember that we are the only ones that removed them atm, other ac sites still have them and most likely will wait for an EB ruling.

I would like to thank PBBans for once again showing the world gaming community, That our voices are heard and do not fall

on deaf ears. If not for this professional organization, the gaming community would suffer and honest people would have

there reputations degraded with no recourse. Once again thank you to Jedi-Operations Staff and all the other staff members for the helping hand to the gaming community. JOB WELL DONE!!!

Going what has been said above, only players who got this ban for the past month are unbanned at PBBans, Thus if you got this violation else were you could still be banned on those servers streaming to other AC sites, conversly you can still get banned for this on servers that stream to other AC sites or utilise dual streaming pbbans + other AC site (unless you know for sure what caused it and don't use it again, 3rd party app etc) Thus if you have just been unbanned you'll only be safe for now on servers that stream to PBBans only.

Top job guys, its nice to know the innocent have a voice and you guys not only fight to ban the cheating scum of the world but will fight to help people that have been banned in error. As with wolfs ban it was almost funny when he got banned and infact I thought it was a joke consol message!!

Cheers again guys.......... we love you (in a non gay way)

Any ideas on what app started all this yet.?

And great job pbbans.

Who said anti-cheat sites just label everyone.

Pbbans have just shown why they are the best anti-cheat site about.

Good call on removing the ban's. It does show that discussing in the proper way, read this as not flaming or being insulting, does work.

Again, good call!!

This isn't the same GameHook Nacho, the one you got was #125144 as well as 2 other people on our server within 30 min of the one you got.

Is this another case like the #123134?

I dunno, but so far it's been 4 people within the last 50 min getting it.

All i can really do is suggest you appeal to the ban for now and put as much info as you can (programs running, what you were doing, etc)
