SSL Encryption

PBBans should be using SSL encryption (https) by default for the entire site.

Let's Encrypt will be deploying free SSL certificates for the general public. This will not only add encryption security to prevent man-in-the-middle eavesdropping for user's passwords, it will also boost PBBans's SEO credibility and ranking on Google's searches, and possible other search engines, thus increasing the site's exposure and popularity.

The free certificates will be made available to the public sometime this month (November, 2015). Keep an eye open for it.

If you don't want to wait, an alternative solution is StartSSL, which also offers free SSL certificates. The link is http://www.startssl.com/

Cheers,

It's not setup to automatically redirect from http to https at this time. Since the PBBans website has been custom coded for the last 13 years many links and images did not account for https and was hard coded to http causing insecure related error messages.

Also I've been out of the country for the last 3 weeks so I didn't want to change anything with the site until I was sure I could fix any bugs.

I dont know what kind of webserver you use, but with in apache it whould be easy and you dont need to recodeing any php code, just write a .htaccess in main root.

Edit: i notce that at the moment now your redirect is working well in every urls ;) good job
