I got cod2 from STEAM and i downloaded it, when i join a online server i can play for 5 or so min. with out problems then punkbuster would kick me for a UNKNONE WINDOWS API FUNCTION or something like that. every time i join a server and play for 5 or so min. i payed for the game and all and i should be abail to play online. someone help with this please like what is going on or what to do?

Have you updated your PB? What operating system are you running? Have you also checked to make sure your firewall/AV allows PB to connect properly?

There should also be a number sequence contained in the kick message.
e.g.
Unknown Windows API Function [131124]
Unknown Windows API Function [131133]
Unknown Windows API Function [131127]
etc etc
e.g.

Sorry, Yes i have updated my pb, and game version is uptodade i got it from steam, and i would get kicked for Unknown Windows API Function [131133]

Hey Venom,
I just downloaded COD2 from Steam as well and I get the same thing "Unknown Windows API Function [131133]". Its really frustraiting. I do not have any of the programs listed as a possible cause so I dont know what exactly to do to fix this problem. Are there any other causes to the error? Could Steam be causing the error?

I have updated punk buster to its latest version and still get the error.
