Star Wars Battlefront

One of these rumours suggests that Battlefront will have its own version of Battlelog, the social network service supporting DICE’s Battlefield series, produced by regular Battlelog developer Uprise.

According to assistant producer Jesper Nielsen, responding to comments on NeoGAF, that one’s just not true.

“The Uprise website mentions that Uprise is working on Star Wars Battlefront. While Uprise has been doing Battlelog, does that automatically mean that we will do Battlelog for Star Wars Battlefront?” he pointed out, reasonably.

“No, it won’t. That can only be an assumption, and I can tell you, no, there won’t be Battlelog for Star Wars Battlefront.”

Patrick Bach, executive producer at developer DICE confirmed the news in an interview with OXM – as reported by GamesRadar. “There are no ironsights in Star Wars, on the ordinary blasters,” he said.

“You have scopes on some rifles, but there are no ironsights.”

Battlefront is increasingly standing out as its own specific thing—diverging even from past Battlefront games. For instance, classes: there won't be any. There will, however, be a progression and unlock system. "We allow you to create your own loadout," Battlefront producer Craig Mcleod tells PC Gamer. "If you want to be one of those players that's a frontline run and gun, you'll be able to create a loadout that allows you to do this. If you're more defence or more of a team player, we'll allow you to do that as well."

Another thing missing from the standard DICE formula is squads. Instead, players will have a single partner—a sort of Chewie to your Han—who you'll always be able spawn on. You can also share unlocks, thus giving yourself and your partner more loadout choices.

Some have already started analyzing the closed alpha files that are on the internet

First off i see that we will be getting both the Walker Assault on Hoth and the Wave mode (possible) or the Walker Assault mode on Tatooine.
Also for people wondering what the Frontend folder is in the levels folder that is the MainMenu.
Secondly i was able to pull these from the files a list of weapons in the Alpha.
Here is a list of weapons in the closed alpha that i was about get out so far via the weapons.sb file
E11
A280
DH17
DL44
DLT19
DLT20a
EE3(most likely for Boba Fett Only)
Rocket Launcher
SE14c
T21
I will post more as i keep looking at the files.\
EDIT:
It seems there is many many different types of Emotes in the game from when you are low health to general clapping.
It also seems there is a Dawn and Sunny versions of Tatooine making me believe time passes as you play on this map just like BF4 DawnBreaker.
EDIT:
Vehiles so far but i guess we already know
T-65 X-wing
Tie Fighter
Lambda Shuttle
Y-wing
Tie-Bomber(found a link to this in one of the files but don't think it's in the Closed Alpha)
Corellian Corvette
Nebulon B Frigate
ISD (Imperial Star Destroyer)
Mon Calamari Capital Ship
Home One (Admiral Ackbar's Ship)
ATST
AT-AT
Tie Interceptor (found a link to this in one of the files but don't think it's in the Closed Alpha)
74-Z Speeder Bike (found a link to this in one of the files but don't think it's in the Closed Alpha)
I didn't find much of anything else other then the stormtroopers can be customized beyond what we seen in the trailer cause they have some kind of blueprint system but this may not be in the closed alpha.

It's not a server based alpha this is a technical test and has nothing to do with the servers atm well it may have a little but this atm is more or less testing how the game plays on pc.

Plus i found stuff in the files pointing to no server browser but a Matchmaking system just like COD.

There is only one reference to PunkBuster in the executable which is the same reference found in NFS Rivals (Which doesn't use PB) while there are multiple references to FairFight. Considering the alpha trial for BF4 and BF Hardline had PB but Battlefront doesn't may lead to the possibility of it not using PunkBuster. However that can change before release.

no real surprise.  EA has been looking for an alternative. they are likely to buy fairfight or some other outfit to have A/C in-house

Star Wars Battlefront will not offer a server browser, but will utilize a new skill based matchmaking system.

Coming early October to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and on Origin for PC, the Star Wars Battlefront Beta* is a technical test and will feature Walker Assault on Hoth, a 40-player multiplayer battle featuring Rebels and the Empire. Walker Assault will also give you the chance to play as two of the most iconic characters in the Star Wars™ universe: Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker. The Beta will also feature our Survival Mission on Tatooine, where you and a Rebel friend must fight back waves of Imperial forces.

In addition to those two modes, we are excited to reveal a brand-new mode that will be available in the Beta, Drop Zone. We’ll be sharing more details on Drop Zone in the weeks ahead.

As part of the Star Wars Battlefront Beta we are also happy to reveal the Star Wars Battlefront Companion experience. Available during the Beta at www.StarWarsBattlefront.com, the Star Wars Battlefront Companion experience features the strategic card game Base Command, and lets you earn in-game Credits that unlock Star Cards, weapons, and more in Star Wars Battlefront. In addition to Base Command, the Companion also lets Rebels and Imperials alike check game stats and progression, customize load-outs and appearance, connect with friends, and get notified when they’re playing Star Wars Battlefront – as well as gather intel on their stats and progression so you can see how you match up! The Star Wars Battlefront Companion will be available on web and in the Apple App Store™ and Google Play™ store prior to the release of Star Wars Battlefront on November 17.

Apparently servers aren't dedicated? That's what I heard and now I'm really upset. I made the mistake of preordering Battlefield Hardline so I decided to wait a bit before preordering this and I'm kinda glad I didn't. Definitely won't buy if the servers are not dedicated.
