not much to add from my side to this particular topic and the whole thread this is originating from.
I do believe while using your services, enjoying our community in the forums and IRC and furthermore donating to your site, I do show my respect for your work and I will continue to do so in the future.
There will always be humans out there trying to harm others. This is part of humans nature and does exist in every part of our lifes. Grudge and ignorance are often altogether. Running communities for different games since 15+ years I can tell you that a statement from you like this was necessary for sure. It only counts what is written, the pace of our life is fast and in a few months newcomers can look back if they like to your post and even the link referrer to BP.
But we should stop commenting any further and wasting our time on statements from Bazzar or others. Oblivion is what harms posters like him more, than seeing / hearing us debating about what he wrote.
Personally I could not care less.
keep well everybody,

Yes that is correct. They buy and support the cheat developers which gives them more incentive to create more cheats. Why EB does not do scanning of memory and services / programs running for "Blocks of Code" that do injection and such I have no Idea. I think EB should partner with an Anti-Virus developer as they are able to scan programs for snippets of code inside the programs that COULD possibly be trojans or act as trojan listeners.
EB should also monitor for anything in the game exe that is out of the regular and is not able to be duplicated from a clean install of the game.
This is just my 2 cents instead of paying for cheats and waiting for the developers to create more. This is how some of the old HL AC's worked. They looked for irregularities that matched known cheats.

I agree and will end with this little gem that was sent to me. A well known cheat site which I will not name here has a very interesting topic about the PBSS Blockers that started this entire mess.
Quote
Wow can't believe this PBSS blocker is still used. It's was a private blocker from back in 2007. I didn't think he did anything more with it when Vista came out and black screens became glitches and he used that.
Now how much truth is behind that I do not know but I think everyone involved needs to remember NO ONE in the ac community has access to ALL cheats that have been created.

What we have done for ourselves alone dies with us; what we have done for others and the world remains and is immortal. - Albert Pike
Think that says it all doesn't it? If not .....
1) - 99 percent of all SGA's came to PBBans to protect their servers
2) - Most of those stay because the system works, the forums are great for community tech support and because the mature professional attitudes that are brought to the table.
3) - PBBans will still be here doing what it does best back by the community, clans and leagues that it does it for.
4) - The community will still be here supporting PBBans for the help it gives them.
5) - I am personally here to safeguard my clans servers for the present and future. Where in that line does it say anything about the past?
Keep fighting the good fight

One thing, I'm a SGA here at PBBans (ohh you can see that... right?) and well, I really do believe that what ever this guys say "It might be" then is surely banned on our server.
If you guys disagree... why the hell are you even here?!
Another thing that I learned on dealing with people is that whenever you're on the highest spot, they will do anything to bring you down. So it is only natural that things here over the internet would work the same way, across the line there is a humam typing, so that guy/gal would surely do the same thing that he would in real life... To put it in better words, he would do even more because he hides, he fells safe enought to do anything he likes and no one will come back at him. That goes to hackers too. Too long I've seen hacks make things look like it is a bug. Too long.
If they choose not to ban those, well, their choice. But on PBBans.com streaming server they are banned, because we chose to stream here, therefore I comply with every ban that gets done by PBBans.com. Once I stop doing so, I would just pack my things (just my account... see? Internet Mask) and leave. Won't create a inflamable topic because in real life I'm not like that, quite the opposite.
Anyway, the voice of the people is not always the voice of God, but the voice of knowlodge it is, and for what I've seen in the past year or so, those PBSS are not here out of random. And I'm sure that other poeple here will agree with me when I say "It is good that they're out of my server"

PS.: I think all they want is a little bit of attention...

{GsG} TropzSP well written and even better articulated. I must say I like your style, however you too are missing to point.
This whole mess originated from the fact that one former Streaming Admin voiced his concern that some bans that he had initiated in good faith (based on information received from senior staff here) turned out to be at least questionable. So following the motto “no ban without 100% proof” he questioned the validity of the ban and asked for their removal as he did not want them “on his conscience”. What followed was a series of posts filled with ridicules, accusations and insults directed at him. From the get go his motives were questioned and every effort made to insure the bans stay in place. His posts were placed “under moderation” while other others (Members AND Staff) got away with taking cheap shots at him and it got worse AFTER he was banned. At this point some people (me included) felt “disgruntled” and left PBBans. At least one Streaming Admin who voiced his support for removing the bans in question was in turn banned.
I for one have no knowledge nor do I care what allegedly happened years ago, who did or did not do something. But as is the case so often, when a dispute gets ugly old grievances get cocked up again to support one or the other side’s argument. Like I said that to me had no relevance. The only thing I personally cared about it that MBL bans MUST be rock solid and that someone who disagrees with the staff should be heard and be treated fairly. “We said no, now shut up or leave” does not quite cut it
Once someone is placed on the MBL (or rather one of the MBL’s) his reputation is tarnished forever. In this case the bans in question resulted from screen shots that did not have any of the obvious tell tale signs of a cheat but that were submitted on the assumption (AGAIN based on information received from the staff here) that the hack/cheat that caused them was “in PBBans database”. That information turned out to be wrong.
EB says “..can't (say) that this is due to a known bug, but I can't quantitatively say that this is due to a cheat of some kind.” This does not mean “go ahead ban ‘em”. Also it should not have ANY relevance what someone on some punk cheat site forum says.
Many here seem to confuse local bans with the MBL. We server admins are free to ban anyone locally (within the bounds of preserving the clans / servers reputation) but an MBL ban … (see above)
I called the actions taken and practice displayed by PBBans “totalitarian” I think that best sums up the way this was handled. To an extent I admire that so many here blindly trust that “all bans are for the best” but I think this case has shown that there need to be some adjustments made in the way SS reviews are handled AND the attitude that disagreement is trouble making or attention seeking.
Final remark: The above represents my views and my personal opinion alone. Yes, I have since joined the clan of the “former Streaming Admin” as my old clan has given up on BF2 (have avoided using his name because of prior mix ups due to name similarities).
