Hi,

We just had our clan's tag registered, but our guy who registered it with his email is away because he is moving.  Can anyone let me know how to set it up to verify what players can use our tags.

Thanks,

To protect: pb_sv_protecttag 1 |SoS| goes in your config.

To keep your Clanmates from being kicked after you turn it on:
Each one needs the correct regname.dat file in their games PB Folder

Directions to generate the regname.dat file:
  • You need to know the "password" he set it up with.
  • Start your game ( do not join a server )

  • Hit the " ~ " key to bring down console

  • Type the following: pb_regnamepartial |SoS| password

  • Hit " enter "

  • If you did it correctly, this places a regname.dat file in your local "game"/PB folder

Repeat for the same for all PB supported games.

Please add also:

pb_sv_ProtectTag 2 mangu

(Enemy Territory & ETQW)

Some hackers have attempted to hack with my nickname, so I've registered as a tag :)

Here is the new download including the tags from the other post. I am requesting that the admins merge these two posts and maybe add the protected.cfg to the downloads area? Not sure how that would work. I will continue to update it and host it no worries.

protected.cfg

Here is the other post on this: http://www.pbbans.com/forums/index.php?sho...mp;#entry129529

These two tags are not valid.
pb_sv_ProtectTag 1 (A.S.S) //[ Sorry, no matches found for (A.S.S) ]
pb_sv_ProtectTag 1 (SF-D) //[ Sorry, no matches found for (SF-D) ]

They have been dropped from the list.

Thanks to =GG=RocknRoll, the list now features the game/s played and expiration date of the tags registration.

He posted a wrong URL, get the file from here:
http://www.cripplemilitia.com/download/protected.cfg
I guess he uses the build in file manager in his cPanel to update the file and then links to it from there (copy/paste) and that doesn't work realy ;)

Anti-medic Let me know if you want me to edit my post in case you dont use this direct link but an passthrough script instead to keep a download counter or something.
I'll then remove the link ASP if this forum allows me to edit my post obvious.

Hi all,

Well I was just notified by one of my clan mates, that most of our members keep getting kicked for using a protected tag.  They have all registered it correctly on their PC, because this has never happened before until now.  Any suggestions?

Thanks,
MoNsTeReNeRgY22
