I used Fraps for a long time but I could never find a good app to display cpu and gpu data (usage, temp) in game. Then I found Playclaw and haven't went back to Fraps since.

I'd highly recommend it for anyone looking for a better alternative to Fraps.

Been using Playclaw for a long time now (primarily for GPU/TS overlay) and have been very happy with it.

Ehhh, I use to use PlayClaw, but then I realized built into MSI-Afterburner there is a video recording application. you can show all the usual info on screen plus record any length any size. No more watermarked or limited stuff from using free versions of playclaw or Fraps

If you already overclock, might as well use the utility built into your software.

I had problems with Playclaw 3's overlays. After positioning one and returning to the main config screen the entire thing would become unresponsive. I could lighlight menu options and buttons but they wouldn't register clicks and using the hot key I set did sweet FA. Only fix was restart either playclaw or game (cod4).

Norton says it is a "Suspicious Cloud7" type of file. So, I submitted it for review to symantec so they can decompile it.

I think it does this because of the activation bit, but it's indeed good to let Symantec check it out.

Unlikely, probably more to do with VMProtect than a standard activation technology.

Did they fix two things thou

Can you use MMB for recording audio now? It didn't detect mouse inputs before.

Did they fix how videos are recorded? If I ever used an uncompressed format, or anything VLC can't open it.

PlayClaw 3 can use up to 2 keys in one shortcut (keyboard or/and mouse).

Do you mean fix VLC? :)
PlayClaw 3 has 3 modes: no compression, low compression (its own codec) and mjpeg compression.

p.s. latest PlayClaw 3 version has bad bug... do not start uninstall if you want to update PlayClaw 3 to another build or you will get problems with all system codecs. Simply install over previous build.

Don't think it has in game options screen anymore. It's all done in the program now.

The in game menu on the 3.x branch was sketchy at best anyway.

My primary reason for buying it was the TS overlay and that's not changed a huge deal over the last few major versions so can't comment if it's better in other aspects. The 3.x in game would often become unresponsive for me meaning I had to tab out and kill the process to get back to game.
