Hi all in PBBans, I am new member of PBBans, and have actually never administrated a server before, and dont know how to get started, can anyone help?

I am presuming you have a server - first thing to do is to set up streaming to help protect your server.

You may have noticed the info on the front page of the site.
Unfortunately the links I have given below will not be working just yet but they will be as soon as the business end of PBBans is in full swing. Won't be long now.

There are however a lot of pinned topics to read that should help you on your way in our download section. There are some .pdf files that should help to explain things for you.

Once the PBBans Hub is back and fully functional follow the links below which will help you set up streaming your server. After that it is a matter of maintaining the server regularly.
By that I mean keeping the cvar and MD5 configs up to date, checking the screenshots regularly for suspicious shots, keeping an eye on the forums here and learning about how other admins keep their server's in great shape.

And always feel free to ask questions. Someone here is bound to be able to help you.

Thank you very much:), ( havent been able to respond before now, since my internet have been down for a while )

Hello again, it was quite much to do I see, before the administration and dont know if I am capable for it. Anyway I will confess that I actually joined Punkbuster because of I thought I was banned from PB and thought I maybe could get reconciled to the server I was banned from ( it was a xK1LLax admin who did it ) by joining PB and perhaps get a better reputation, sorry for that, maybe a little selfish, but its so much to do before the administration and I actually promised some guys to ban some others from a server called KNIFE ONLY NL RANKED, there were many lawbreakers there and there was no admin there, except myself, but I still havent get started with adminstration, you see. And anyway, to ban someone you must have a clear evidence, right and not only names for which people ( have wrote down many names and tried to convince the lawbreakers to piss off from the server by threatning them with saying: I am a member of PB, well some of them maybe pissed off, but not all. Any idea how long it takes to get started with administration, only circa?

You cant stream without a server.

Yeah, but I planned to be member just for a short while to get that "better reputation", but since I promised to ban some guys and is as many others really frustrated over many players or we can call them "rulebreakers", I think I changed my mind, but I still wonder if some one could say only circa how long it takes to begin the admin, to stream server, install, read to understand importnant things etc?

Yeah, I am not a admin, but when I begins to stream a server, and work on over time, can I maybe be an admin then?

when you get a server to stream you get streaming game admin. how long it takes dependes how long it takes you to set your server up.

this server your talking about is this a sof2 server or bf2 server? these "rulebreakers" you are talking about are they using cheats or breaking server rules?

As far as bf2 if its a knife only server you can turn it into EA games, for knife only server are not allowed.

Okay, but just want to say that there are problems with cheaters and hackers on this server, can anyone stream that server, I am not admin, and dont know how to do it: EA DE#!# Net players.de - Berlin only.

Okay, I think i will resign from PBBans, cause its seems to be a big job to do about the administration, well of course not very unexpected, but anyway I dont think I am good enough for that job, sorry.
