Hello
I hope I have come to the right place for some assistance.
I have a server running cod 2 and when I had a Lan party the other day everyone was getting kick for
duplicate cd-key.
Everyone had the own copy of cod 2 and the server has it's own copy of cod 2
Everyone and the server was running 1.3 of cod 2 and evryone had updated punkbuster .
We had to try punkbuster off to play .
So my question is why was it doing this and how can I stop it so we can run punkbuster for the next time.
Just for added info it didn't matter who went to join the server once two players went in game one would get kicked.
Thank you for your help in advanced , I'm new to this and it has me stumped.

... this is a pb server setting, for online mp game servers 0 is recommended.
Now the question is if LAN clients will have the same IP (likely PB_SV_GUIDRelax 2 ), if this doesnt work PB_SV_GUIDRelax 6 (2+4)

PB_SV_GUIDRelax [0-7]
Defaults to 0; Controls PunkBuster's kicking behavior related to GUIDS; A Value of 1 means PB will not kick for UNKN (Unknown) GUIDs; A Value of 2 means PB will not kick for WRONGIP GUIDs (these are GUIDS which are valid but not from the IP Address the player is connecting from); A Value of 4 means PB will not kick for DUPLICATE GUIDs; These values (1, 2 and 4) can be combined* to achieve the desired behavior

Gee that was quick I'm impressed
Thank you for that I will give it a try and get back to you on how I have gone.
It is hard when you don't know these things and people are getting upset for being kicked
with a duplicated cd-key .
I think I understand a little of what you have written.
Thank you Benway

PB_SV_LAN
Setting defaults to 0; when set to 1, PB will behave as though it has no Internet access
PB_SV_LanMask [IP Subnet Mask]
This setting is used for Internet Servers that also have local LAN game clients connecting; it should be set to hold the subnet of the LAN; for example, if the LAN IP Addresses are 192.168.1.x, then set pb_sv_lanmask to 192.168.1
