My best which i bought recently is:
Logitech PC Headset 120
No problems and they are just amazing :)

Speedlink 5.1 medusa is mine. Have had this for over 5 years now, never found any better.

And Creative SB Xfi platinum helps a lot too :)

Well ... with the right soundcard, i think Razer headhets are the best (from my own experience).
