We have integrated Google Maps into the MBI

Latest 50 cheater locations
http://www.pbbans.com/mbi-latest50-map.html

Players are shown on the map.
http://www.pbbans.com/mbi-latest50-cod4-lfb27.html

Bans show player and server locations on the map.
http://www.pbbans.com/mbi-viewban-16b224c9-vb77242.html

Shows location of the server and of you.
http://www.pbbans.com/msi-server-63-113-60-2-28960.html

Remember they are not 100% accurate but come close enough :)

i like B) , but wonder if this is leaving pbbans open to legal action should a hacker be tracked and threatened in some way.

Public Domain information - plus the accuracy of the information is usually off by varying degrees - has my place at least 100kms from where I actually am. Searching some IP's I am familiar with has them hundreds of K's from where the actually are.

Google themselves have a disclaimer

Quote

A) ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL CONSEQUENTIAL OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES WHICH MAY BE INCURRED BY YOU, HOWEVER CAUSED AND UNDER ANY THEORY OF LIABILITY.. THIS SHALL INCLUDE, BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO, ANY LOSS OF PROFIT (WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY), ANY LOSS OF GOODWILL OR BUSINESS REPUTATION, ANY LOSS OF DATA SUFFERED, COST OF PROCUREMENT OF SUBSTITUTE GOODS OR SERVICES, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSS;

I doubt very much that a lawyer would be interested in PBBans displaying a map. Duty of care would be extremely hard pushed to prove as far as PBBans is concerned when the IP and map themselves are obtainable from a variety of other sources.

Really nice job... really like it... but the one that "Shows location of the server and of you." well... it missed my house... by a few thousand miles... =] it's in the same country... Brazil... but it showed as beeing far away... very veryfar away from my house... in a place that if there's internet... it's for natives (indians) to use!
...
lol

But ver nice indeed!!!!

well if the map shows its from that persons area at least it stops then saying its someone else with a keygen somewhere else in the world

It's kinda like Megan's law maps where you can see where all the sex offenders are....it lets you see where all the cheaters in the neighborhood are lol...

Well, the maps are probably pretty similar :P

Is there any way to remove it for an individual's account?... Namely mine, I don't really need to know where they are located.
