A widespread issue after fresh installs/patches/updates is cd-key goes blank and the game resets to this GUID :

Fix: Update PunkBuster, check pb services;
Start game [Options] [Enter CD-Key] and put in the key that came with the game.

To check, bring down console and enter /pb_myguid
