PBBans would like to bring to the attention of our Americas Army members and SGA's some information that may impact on them, in particular those who dual stream to other Americas Army Anti Cheat Orgs.

AON have made a decision regarding certain aspects of the ACI banlists.

Quote

Effective today, December 22, 2007 AON has elected to filter all ACI Cheated Training and Hacked Honor Bans from the ban search tool, the background check, and the ACI banlist provided via the admin panel. It is in the best interest of the entire AA Community to only ban for proof of cheats using reliable means and accurate data.

Because these bans are based off of a server side hack they claim not to support (but ban off of the data it provides) it is deemed erroneous and hypocritical. Cheated training bans are ripped off of the AA-MBS which is clearly marked "Beta" or "unfinished" so again, there is room for error. That is coupled by the fact that it is data not in their control and would be unaware of any issues, glitches, or innaccuracies present at a moments notice. Given the fact that there is a private cheat that can alter a players honor without their knowledge, any and all honor bans based off of points and not physical cheat file detections are all open to question. We cannot, in good conscience, continue to support those specific bans.

We feel at the very least these should be made Private ACI Only bans and not added to their distributed ban list.

We apologize for any perceived inconvienience but in the big picture it is the right thing to do. The game is meant to be played, as fairly as possible, ignoring facts and banning people for EULA violations by violating the EULA yourself is both unethical and hypocritical.

Thank You for your understanding and may you have a safe and happy holiday season.

PBBans does not presume to judge any other anti cheat organisation but we would like to assure our members the the PBBans Mbi is unique to PBBans and is compiled purely from servers streaming to us. Bans of the abovementioned nature are not included in our MBi.
We view the integrity of the MBi to be paramount and as such only add bans that have solid and verifiable evidence to support them such as Cvar and MD5 checks and screenshot submissions.

We will continue to ban for known Honor Hacks and Training cheats through the use of 3rd party applications.

AON have also opted to discontinue sharing repository logs with ACI.
If you wish to continue to share your logs with current Americas Army Anti Cheat organisations that accept dual streaming please check each organisation in your account manager server flag options.

It has also been confirmed by Reaper of ACI that due to technical problems at ACI's end, logs forwarded to them from the PBBans hub are not being parsed at this time.
Hopefully this technical problem will be resolved shortly by ACI and Reaper will let us know when the logs will be parsed again. Naturally we will inform you as soon as this happens.

AON continue to utilise the logs forwarded from the hub and those members that have AON flagged in their server settings will find things have not changed.

PBBans will of course continue to offer the Americas Army SGA's the opportunity to stream to either organisation or both as well as to AAGuid.

Cheers.

ACI have informed us that they have fixed their internal issues and are now working on parsing the backlog of forwarded streaming logs.

All future logs received by ACI will also be parsed and the information gained will be used to add cheats caught to the ACI banlist.

Cheers
